world\u2019s freshwater reserves, is often seen as a water-rich nation. Yet this apparent abundance masks a worrying reality: the water consumption rate is one of the highest in the world, at about 335 litres per person per day, almost double the global average of around 170 litres.<\/p><p>This level of consumption, combined with aging infrastructure, climate change and ever increasing demand, is putting greater and greater pressure on resources.
